Women’s Health, Caregiving & Alzheimer’s
Women are at the epicenter of the Alzheimer’s crisis. Not only are they more likely than men to be caregivers, women are also more likely to develop the disease. It’s critical that we all work together to educate each other about the disproportionate impact of this disease on women and recognize the STRENGTH of women as a force to address and create change around issues such as Alzheimer’s disease! Join the Alzheimer’s Association for this informative program, presented virtually, to learn from experts about Dementia, Intergenerational Relationships and the Impact of Alzheimer’s on the Family, along with stories and tips from local caregivers about their journey.
This program is presented in collaboration with: Canaan Baptist Church New Castle, AARP Delaware, Wilmington Library, Henrietta Johnson Medical Center, JFS Delaware and Office of Women’s Advancement & Advocacy.
