Effects of COVID-19 on Children and Teens
The Pennridge Community Partnership, a partnership between the Pennridge School District, Grand View Health, and St. Luke’s Penn Foundation, is kicking off a new educational series to address a variety of topics impacting adolescents and teens.
“Our children are our greatest resource,” says Allanson-Dundon. “The COVID-19 pandemic has sparked a mental health epidemic of proportions unlike anything we have ever seen. Parents, teachers, school administrators, nurses, coaches, and ancillary staff need to know signs of depression, anxiety, and other related behavioral and emotional conditions in order to quickly identify students at risk. Suicide, substance use, and self-harm are on the rise nationally for school-aged children. This webinar will address these daunting concerns and how to help our young people work through difficult emotions.”
