Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Faith Community

Jefferson Health – Abington Faith Community Nursing Advisory Council presents Living with and learning from Diversity – Caring for people with Compassion and Understanding.

Keynote Speaker: Brenda E. Snipes, MBA, MHA, MSHRM, Vice President, Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement, Enterprise Office of Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement, Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health. Ms. Snipes will discuss the importance of compassion for others particularly when we may feel uneasy or reluctant to do so based on our beliefs, convictions and/or bias. We all have varying beliefs, conviction and yes, bias. How we allow ourselves to perceive, assume, expect and behave is entirely up to us. It’s not hard to be kind, smile and genuinely exercise compassion for others. Insights on how and why compassion and understanding can influence better outcomes with others.

Location: The program will be conducted virtually via Zoom platform. Zoom link will be emailed prior to program date
