Breast Cancer Surveillance for Women who are High Risk. The Importance of Early Screening and Detection

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime; however, for some women, the risk of breast cancer is higher. Some of the factors that can increase a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer include: Certain genetic mutations; reproductive history; personal or family history of breast or ovarian cancer or non-cancerous breast diseases; dense breasts; and previous radiation therapy treatment. If you are at high-risk for breast cancer, there are steps you can take to proactively monitor your health, ensure early detection and reduce risk. Join our breast surgeons to learn about breast cancer surveillance for women who are high risk and the importance of early screening and detection. Submit your questions ahead of time and have them answered during the program. There is no cost to participate in this program, however, registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
