Bucks County

  • Emergency Shelter: Individuals should call the Bucks County Housing Link, 1-800-810-4434, with direct referrals to Street Outreach. The Call Center is staffed Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 8:30am-7:30pm and Tuesday from 8:30am until 4:30pm. Voicemail is available 24/7 and calls will be returned promptly.
  • COVID-19 Housing Resources & Support: The Bucks County Emergency Rental Assistance Program (BERA) provides rental and utility assistance to eligible Bucks County tenants impacted by COVID-19. Both tenants and their landlords are encouraged to apply – either party can start the application. The BERA flyer is available here!

Montgomery County

  • Emergency Shelter: Households in need of emergency shelter should call the Your Way Home Call Center by dialing 2-1-1 or texting their zip code to 898-211.
  • Access Services‘ Street Outreach and Mobile Crisis teams and 2-1-1 collaborate frequently to confirm County and faith-based shelter availability.
  • COVID-19 Housing Resources & Support: Your Way Home Emergency Rent and Utility Coalition. Persons living in Montgomery County who have experienced a COVID hardship and are in need of rent and/or utility assistance should call 2-1-1 or text your zip code to 898-211. For a household to be eligible for the ERUC program, it must meet program requirements listed on the Your Way Home ERUC site. View the ERUC flyer in English or Spanish.

The Bridge of Hope BuxMont is seeking neighboring volunteers are six to ten people from within a Christian faith community (church, Bible study, small group, etc.) who, with training from Bridge of Hope BuxMont, simply do life with a family facing homelessness by offering tangible and emotional support and encouragement as they engage with the family in faith and life. Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County is happy to announce a new home opportunity on Hillcrest Avenue in Morrisville Borough! They are holding a virtual Home Interest Meeting on Tuesday, January 18th at 6:30 pm via Zoom to share information about the house and program. Registration for the Home Interest Meeting is requested by January 15th. Applications will be accepted between January 19-February 9. Learn more.

LIHEAP Summer Cooling Program – Households in Bucks & MontCo that received LIHEAP services during 2021-22 or are receiving DOE or LIHEAP weatherization work are eligible for the Crisis Pilot Cooling Program, which provides cooling system repairs or replacements. Self-Determination Housing of PA (SDHP) is currently accepting applications for our newest Home Modifications Program. Their new program, funded through HUD, is for homeowners over the age of 65 with a goal to remain in their homes and live independently by offering home modifications at no cost to them. United Way of Bucks County announces The Department of Housing and Community development has been informed by the Bucks County Housing Authority that their application for a temporary waiver from HUD to raise the eligible fair market rents across Bucks County has been approved.  This is due to rising rents and an attempt to make leasing up easier for households who have Section 8 vouchers. The new payment standards, effective March 1st, are located here.

YWCA Bucks County is now accepting referrals for victims of Human Trafficking for Haven House. Haven House is a safe house for women and children fleeing human
trafficking. To bridge the gap between crisis housing and Rapid Rehousing (RRH), the YWCA Haven House provides victims of human trafficking a safe place to reside and receive supportive services until they are placed in their own apartment through RRH. During their stay, participants will continue to receive crisis advocacy, trauma-informed counseling, and other supportive services. Get more information and download the application here.

YMCAs in Doylestown and Warminter shower access – To access showers at the YMCA in Doylestown and Warminter, individuals should be referred to the Y by the Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless (CSSH) with their names added to a list for a year. Guests also must provide a photo ID, each time, and complete an annual guest waiver. Only guests whose names are on the list, have a photo ID, and have completed the guest waiver are permitted to shower at the Warminster and Doylestown Ys. Shower Times: Warminster: M 6AM-8AM, TH- 1PM-3PM, Sat. 7AM-9AM. Doylestown: M & Th 6:15 PM – 7:45 PM.
